BEFORE YOU APPLY
Before you can apply for a Work-Based Learning opportunity, you must first get permission from a parent or guardian to interview and accept a position. We love to celebrate success! So, please let me know when are HIRED!
EARNING THE ELECTIVE CREDIT
Students may earn a work-based learning (full or 1/4) credit if their placement position aligns with their IGP.

120 hours of work or service could earn students a one (1) credit.

60 hours of work or service could earn students a half (.5) credit.

40 hours of work or service could earn students a quarter (.25) credit.

Step 2: Have your Supervisor/Manager/Mentor complete 2 online evaluations.
The Grade
Students do receive a grade at the end of the semester.
Students are required to submit pay stubs or timesheets to account for their hours.
WBL placements (aka jobs or service opportunities) must entail training in which specific skills are developed and utilized.
Students are required to be formally evaluated by their supervisors on at least 2 occasions during the WBL placement.
